Inspired By

This series utilizes photographic images as a painter’s palette to create pieces Inspired By some of my favorite abstract artists.

Stripped: San Fernando Valley

From all corners of its two-hundred-sixty square miles, this series reimagines ubiquitous strip-mall intersections of “the valley” – my valley – in a way never seen before.

Missing

Old family photos can conjure longing and curiosity: Loved ones gone, mysteries unsolved. The thought of postings and milk cartons occurred to me. Photographing them “in the wild” was a natural extension.

Crow and Warrior

Traveling to Japan and Beijing was like landing on another planet. Shot in black and white, these images still take me far away, to strange and wondrous places.

Shoreline

Selected images from a self-published book, Shoreline; photographed using a Holga plastic camera with 120 black and white film.

Between the Walls

This collection attempts to capture the essence of a building, much as portraiture endeavors to reveal the soul of a person.
